Are you intermediate- or advanced-level in the language you are studying? If so there might be a lot of words you already know. Until we create a proper placement test for onboarding, this here are two ways to get Migaku quickly up-to-speed with your knowledge:

Copy-paste words into Settings

  1. Go to Settings in the Migaku browser extension
  2. Scroll down to the section “Known Words”

  1. Hit “Add words” and copy-paste any words that you would like to mark as Known

Mark words on a page in bulk

  1. Make sure the webpage has Migaku enabled (if it’s not, see how to do it here)
  2. Manually select a chunk of text

  1. Now use one of the keyboard shortcuts to change the learning status of the selected words:

<aside> ⌨️ ”1” - Unknown ”2” - Track (bookmark words you want to keep an eye on) ”3” - Known ”4” - Ignore (does count toward your Known words)

  1. A confirmation dialogue will appear and hit “Confirm” to continue
